Genaro Resendiz's blog ::Predictions for My Fantasy Football League
Another big week...but then 11 is my number. I finished 9-5, and I'm on a roll. See if you can match the Hardhead. New England 8-2 at Detroit 2-8 - Tom Brady has the Pats on a roll. The Lions have struggled without Matthew Stafford. The struggles continue. Patriots 42-21. New Orleans 7-3 at Dallas 3-7 - The 'Boys have rallied to win two in a row for Jason Garrett and four in a row on Turkey Day. The Saints are trying to keep pace in the NFC South and have run off three in a row themselves. Going with the gut. Cowboys 30-24. Cincinnati 2-8 at New York Jets 8-2 - I've heard some folks laughing at the way the Jets are winning. Rex Ryan doesn't care as long as the "w"s keep popping up. The Bengals are done. Jets 42-14. Green Bay 7-3 at Atlanta 8-2 - The Falcons got by a danger game against St. Louis, while the Pack was helping usher "Chilly" out the door in Minnesota. This game has big implications in the playoff matchups. Falcons 27-20. Pittsburgh 7-3 at Buffalo 2-8 - The Bills are in danger of losing their shot at Ryan Mallet, but Big Ben and the Steelers will help them keep the dream alive. Steelers 24-17. Carolina 1-9 at Cleveland 3-7 - The Colt McCoy star waggon has come back to earth, but they should find this week a little easier than the last two. Carolina is another team just mailing it in . Browns 31-10. Minnesota 3-7 at Washington 5-5 - "Chilly" is gone, Favre is next. Maybe Shanahan can make a mid-field trade to unload D-Mac. New head coach doesn't help the Vikes. Redskins 20-10. Jacksonville 6-4 at NY Giants 6-4 - The Jags have run off three in a row to take top spot in the "division no one wants to win". The Giants are reeling a little and Eli is starting to look like, well, Eli. Jaguars 42-31 Tampa Bay 7-3 at Baltimore 7-3 - The Buccs will have to prove they belong. If it's a cold weather day, the Ravens will dominate. Baltimore 24-21. Tennessee 5-5 at Houston 4-6 - These two seem to be inventing new ways to lose every week. The Titans have some talent, but the Texans have more. The streak ends for....Houston 34-17. Philadelphia 7-3 at Chicago 7-3 - Two QBs who have found new life square off in a slug fest. This could be the first of two meetings (the second being in the playoffs). I give the edge to the Chicago D. Bears 27-19. Miami 5-5 at Oakland 5-5 - The Raiders are 4-1 at home, the 'Phins are 4-1 on the road, so something has to give. The Raiders have more QB stability and are strong against the run. Raiders 21-17. Kansas City 6-4 at Seattle 5-5 - These two are fighting off some surprise contenders, and the Chief have to be sweating the Chargers move. The pressure is too much for KC. Seahawks 24-21. St. Louis 4-6 at Denver 3-7 - Denver hasn't established themselves, but they put up some gaudy offensive numbers. The Rams are stout on D and gave Atlanta all they wanted. If this was in St. Louis, it would be a no-brainer. As it is, I see the Rams breaking the visitor jinx. - Rams 42-38. San Diego 5-5 at Indianapolis 6-4 - The Colts made a valiant come back against the Pats, but moral victories are empty at this time of year. The Chargers come into town blazing. Philip Rivers is en fuego. Chargers 34-33. San Francisco 3-7 at Arizona 3-7 - The loser of this game finds themselves all but eliminated from the NFC West. How much of the Cardinal's five game losing streak can be blamed on the QB vacancy? The losing coach instantly join the "which coach is canned next" pool. It will be Mike Singletary. Cardinals 17-14. |
